Opposition to
Anchor In RV Campground

Alton Ave and Bayside Rd Neighbors care deeply about the future of our community and the character of the area we call home. We are putting together a coordinated effort to oppose the proposed Anchor In Campground at 566 Bayside Rd.

OUR CONCERNS

Our neighbors are concerned about traffic, impact on emergency services, security risks, wildlife displacement, wetlands impact, water contamination, decrease in property values, increased trespassing and infringement on quality of life.

We are speaking out on behalf of a community, a landscape, and a way of life that we believe are worth protecting.

Please join us to oppose the campground at the Preliminary Review on the campground at the next Ellsworth Planning Board meeting July 1, 5:30 pm at City Hall.

THE PROPOSED RV CAMPGROUND

The proposed project is to construct 28-site for recreation vehicle use. Each site is large enough to accommodate one recreational vehicle and one passenger vehicle. The site will also repurpose the existing residential building into the campground office and bath house. The existing barn will be used for recreational purposes.

The property sits about 3.3 miles south of the Water St / Main St intersection.
